Annual Coordination Meeting 2018
University of La Laguna (ULL) & Instituto Espanol de Oceanografia (IEO)
23-25 January, Tenerife, Spain.
The first 2 days were held at the Faculty of Sciences, ULL and the 3rd day at the IEO in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and were be hosted by Drs Jose Perez and Covadonga Rodriguez (ULL), and Salvador Jerez and Virginia Martin (IEO).

Meeting agenda for 23-26 January 2018
Transportation from the hotel to the meeting venues
Buses will take all participants from the suggested hotels at 08:15 am on Tuesday and 08:30 am on the other days, and return them at the end of the day (See maps and photos below). The bus to take participants to the meeting venues will be located at:

meals & Consortium dinner on tuesday 23 January 2018
Meals
Coffee breaks will be offered by ULL/IEO in the morning and afternoon, outside the meeting rooms for Days 1&2 at the Faculty of Sciences (ULL), and for Day 3 at the IEO facilities.
Lunch for Days 1 & 2 will be served outside the meeting venue at ULL (basement, student restaurant). It will cost 10€ and will include two main courses, desert and water. Lunch for Day 3 will be served outside the meeting venue of IEO and is provided free of charge by IEO!!! (Thanks guys!!!!)
The consortium dinner will be given at the evening of Tuesday 23 January (at 20:30) at the REAL Casino de Tenerife, Plaza de Candelaria 12, located at a 10 min walking distance from the meeting hotels (see map below). The cost is 20 euro per person, which is a special discount price since our local hosts (ULL/IEO) are covering part of the full cost! The menu includes a choice of meat or fish.

Transportation from/to airport - please note that there are 2 different airports in Tenerife (south and north)
There are two airports in Tenerife: Tenerife South (TFS) and Tenerife North (TFN). Below you will find the information about the buses (TITSA, green buses) that you can use to go to the town (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, SCTF), where the three suggested hotels are located. The buses will take you to the central station in SCTF, and then you can take a taxi to your hotel.

Tour to teide National park
|
So far there are 47 people that have registered for the tour to Teide Volcano and National Park. There will be only one bus for the tour and will wait for us outside hotel "Occidental Barcelo". We will leave the hotel around 09:30 and return at 18:00 (cost 35€). We will have lunch in a restaurant there (included in the price). More details about the tour will be given at the meeting.
