It should be stressed that the deliverables must be submitted electronically (through the SESAM system of the EU) at the month indicated in the DOW and not at the time of the Periodic Report. So, we must be on time or have a good explanation why not, which must be forwarded to the EU Scientific officer.
As agreed, the researcher responsible for the deliverable should send it to the WP leader for review and approval, then to the GWP leader for review and approval and then to the Project Coordinator (PC) for review and approval, at least 15 days prior to the due date. Upon completion of all necessary revisions, the Project Coordinator will upload the Deliverable on the SESAM tool of the Participants Portal. This procedure is important to ensure that all our deliverables follow the same format, “philosophy” in terms of the extent of information and have as few errors (grammar, language, typos, etc.) as possible.
As far as the preparation of the Deliverable, I believe that it should be a document that will include all necessary information for the potential reviewer (both the EU and the external one that will evaluate us at the middle of the project) to understand the objectives, materials and methods and results that are included in the deliverable, but also it should include a brief discussion (and references) that will explain the significance, applications of the deliverable. If we do this for all deliverables, then our Periodic Reporting will become much easier, as we will be able to “cut and paste” sections from the various deliverables to prepare the reports.
It may be useful to have a look at examples of the already submitted deliverables, included below.
